Updates process

Updates to the service infrastructure and agents will be deployed automatically. Service infrastructure updates are expected to be seamless. No significant downtime is expected.

Agent updates are deployed to the download servers (dl.xplicittrust.com). The agent updater service checks for updates every ten minutes when the device is online. If an update is available, it is automatically downloaded and installed. The update requires no user interaction and is usually unnoticeable. Even on slow machines, such as embedded devices, it only takes a few seconds, but the time will vary depending on the capacity and load of the device.

Regular updates

Regular updates are released at weekends (usually Sunday).

Hotfix updates

Urgent updates for issues that have a serious impact on either security or customer productivity can be delivered during the week.
